It has been a month since the trip to Cameron Highlands. I miss it very much because the air was fresh and the company was greaaatt!
We stayed at the Strawberry Park hotel and had a unobstructed view of the mountains. We were literally in the clouds! It was reallllly cold.
Time we went:
We went on a weekday and left during the weekends. This was truly optimal because it wasnt too crowded and we had an entire bus to ourselves!!! 4 people in a 32 seater hehehehe.
We booked our tour locally instead of doing it in Singapore. It was quite hilarious because once we reached CH, a man boarded the bus and immediately introduced a tour plan for us which was perfect!
Places we went to:
Not all places were as interesting as it sounds while some places were really cool!
On the first day we went to the Strawberry Park, we didnt go to the Big Red Strawberry park because it wasnt included in the tour. We went to other farms instead. However it wasnt as impressive perhaps because we found it too expensive to pick them ourselves.
It is okay tho! We still had fun and a good rest.
We saw really beautiful and colourful butterflies, some with huge wingspans and almost luminous colours.
Wasnt really a garden of roses, but an entire place with vibrant colours and paintings all around. It was visually appealing and we took some nice photos there.
The cactus there ranged from miniature to GINORMOUS. Almost the size of a human with a shorter stature. The larger cactus had far less vicious spikes than the smaller ones.
Quite boring here hahhaha. We did see flowers and hens and rooster but other than that.. It is like a slightly larger nursery..
The night market only opens on Friday nights or weekend nights (I forgot)
The food is super yummy and CHEAP.
Nasi Lemak and Asam Laksa was going at 4-6RM, Goreng Pisang at 1 RM for 3. And I tried a little of Ramly Burger!! Not that amazing luh haha. We brought the food back to the hotel and ate to our hearts content.
AND PLAYED DONKEY WITH THE FAM. HEHE.
I tasted the sweetest corn there! I did also, share it with a bunch of houseflies hahaha. It is a wonder I didnt laosai lor.
All things strawberry there. I tried the fried ice cream there, not bad heehe!
It was so beautiful, I tried eating the leaves and it was tasty. The view was truly breathtaking.
Tea Plantation Factory
We saw the process of the tea leaves preparation. It wasnt the most interesting thing hehe..
The Peak of CH
IT WAS COLD up there and we were in the clouds again! Fresh air did smell very good.
Its like a planked route.. the steps were steep too! Not my favourite part of the trip.
the food is all pretty edible, chinese food and really cheap too!
The photos are all on Flickr. 😀
